FNU Excels in the Regional Colleges, South Rankings

Florida National University (FNU) is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the best regional colleges in the south. US News and World Report recently released their rankings for 2022 and FNU tied for 21st overall out of 125 colleges. These rankings consider graduation rates, social mobility, academic reputation, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources per student and graduate indebtedness. FNU is focused on helping traditionally underserved students. Our rankings for helping veterans and students from disadvantaged backgrounds is even more impressive. FNU was second for top performers on social mobility and 10th for assisting veterans.

Social Mobility and Veterans

FNU’s high rankings are a direct result of our missions to promote education to change people’s lives. We’re aware of the sacrifices that veterans make in serving our nation, and we want to do everything we can to help them transition to civilian life and enjoy the freedoms they helped defend. Likewise, we know that everyone has something great to offer the world, and education is the key to unlocking that potential. Many young people never get the chance to develop their talents due to the lack of resources available within their family. FNU is a school dedicated to helping such individuals often become the first college graduates in their families.

Programs Offered

FNU offers a wide variety of Continuing Education and Associate programs. These programs are perfect for individuals who need to gain skills quickly, which can make a difference in their lives. Gaining proficiency in English as a Second Language, or working as a Legal Assistant, Dental Assistant or X-Ray Technician are just some of the certification programs available. FNU also offers bachelor’s degrees in rapidly expanding fields like Marketing, Nursing, Accounting, Legal Studies and more. These four-year programs are specifically designed as part of FNU’s overall Mission Statement to contribute to the education of a diverse, presently predominantly Hispanic student. For those individuals who want to take their education even further, FNU offers several master degree programs in fields such as Business Administration, Registered Nursing, Criminal Justice, and Forensic Psychology.

Campus Resources

FNU has three campuses conveniently located in Miami, FL and Hialeah, FL. The main campus in Hialeah has many resources for students including a cafeteria, childcare facilities, computer labs, medical labs, a student lounge and a full library. The satellite campus in Hialeah gives students access to some of our technical programs in a more intimate setting. Our satellite campus in Miami gives students living in the city easier access to our programs. All campuses are fully capable of helping prospective students use their Pell Grants (requires qualification) to open new doors for themselves and their families.
