Learning Outcome
This 30 credit Medical Coding and Billing Specialist program will prepare you for entry-level employment as a medical records coder, coding technician or coding clerk. You’ll learn to translate diagnoses and procedures into numerical codes using International Classification of Disease (ICD-9-CM) and the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT-4). You will also be trained to prepare and file insurance claim forms for reimbursement.
